The thing about the hurt locker is that it's not really a movie. It doesn't make the normal arc of the movie that comforts the audience. You never know what happens watching the hurt locker. It's different and it's thought-provoking, in a very uneasy way.

An interesting movie and showed how hellish the war in Iraq is.

I had no idea what to expect from this movie. Coming out of it, I decided that while it was a great movie to see once, I'd never want to see it again. The closest thing I can relate it to is Passion of the Christ in that sense. I recommend that everyone see it once unless you have a weak stomach.

I wrote a short review but I do recommend this movie to everyone because we need to see what war is really like.

A great and a really realistic film about the Iraq war and the men at work. A modern-day war classic!

Really fantastic film. One of the best ever about war. I read a lot of first hand accounts and this really represented the agony that is war. The quote at the beginning, "war is a drug" is completely valid. The film emphasizes that so well, its almost beautiful.

A Good Title for a Very Good Movie

While some Iraq veterans have questioned the accuracy I believe the movie portrayed war as what it really is: dirty, hot, loud, dangerous, boring, destructive, exciting, wasteful, meaningless, frightening, deadly and addictive. War kills people and destroys property but one thing it doesn't do is go away. This movie and the movie "Taking Chance" with Kevin Bacon should be watched by every Representative and Senator who continue to vote for war.
