In keeping with his other projects, the hyper-awareness of this latest Tarantino installment aptly instills the audience with that postmodern of cues: "What are we watching?" IB is a revisionist history of war cinema, though it is a more close study of the Western, Apache head-hunting, Mexan stand-offs and all. Succintly divided into chapters, the movie is decidedly less than its parts. Slick action and riveting suspense dominate certain portions, while others rely on mood and remarkable cinematic tableaus to override the trademark self-reflexive banter that QT has official driven to cliche. It is a drastic gamble to cast these tropes onto the backdrop of genocide, but any attentive viewer will see that Holocaust has nothing to do with it. Stylistically in close concert with the Kills Bill, the answer to the pallbearing question is that an experiment or treatise, however provocative, can't replace the pleasure and engagement of a good, honest movie.

Well, I love Tarantino-films (as their own genre) with in the all sarcasm and perfection. Quentin has produced us masterpiece after masterpiece as you very well know already. Although you can easily say that I pretty much run over movies "Death Proof" and "Planet Terror", but Inglorious Basterds brought Tarantino closer to me again. Now I barely can wait new sequel to Kill Bill (3) and I eventually had found the little-Quentin growing inside of me?

At first sight this movie seems to be a boring and rather slow (similar to Jackie Brown), but when you get to the Tarantino-mood - you will notice every little detail and the perfection of facial expression for example, from which we can say thanks for the great actors and actresses. Every move and line has been fitted with extreme dedication (ahh, Pulp Fiction), editing and cutting is quite average - no tricks, but it still works.

Christoph Waltz brings the "cherry on top"-touch to this film, at second view of this movie I will definitely enjoy his performance again, got to give huge credit for that. Brad Pitt's "Grazie" is just one slice of the cake and he is in the motion with some Marlon Brando -figurine at the last quarter of the movie. I haven't seen Mélanie Laurent before and I don't know where they have found her, but excellent choice for that part (French, but no fried?).

Anyways I wouldn't really know what I should say, write or add to and about this movie, but I gave it a niner. Rating is comparative and depending on my own mood, as I could scale it from seven to ten and at this occasion it will be closer to perfection.

Thanks Quentin, you really did it again. PS. Don't scalp me, I'm already bold!

This was so disappointing really, I mean it didn't feel like a Quentin Tarantino film it was wordy and boring. I thought QT was going back to the good time just showing us how to kill people in weird and wonderful ways. I mean you got to see about 3 people die up close. Pitt wasn't the man for this but the lucky thing was he wasn't in for long. I have been a QT fan for ever but he needs to get back to the can i say indie films like pulp fiction. Just a forgettable film.
